Gbs: Referee Doveri gets major decisions right in Inter-Milan…see more

During this season, AC Milan have regularly been left feeling hard done by officials, and against Inter, this was not the case.

In a season where Milan have found faults everywhere, the officials have not escaped criticism, even when the team have performed poorly. In fact, there have been numerous occasions where the team have been badly officiated, and this has often had an effect on results.

Even the first leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final had refereeing issues, but last night, there were no problems to report.

As Corriere dello Sport write, the officials had quite a good game, at least from a Milan perspective. Mehdi Taremi went down claiming a penalty as the second half began, but the play continued with Doveri not seeing any issues with the challenge.

In the first half, the ref had a good hand on the game, keeping things cool and ensuring the coaches were not getting overly aggravated for no reason. In fact, the first yellow of the game was rightly given after 26 minutes to Hakan Calhanoglu, even though there was a debatable challenge earlier by Yann Bisseck.

Then, Inter had complaints about the second and third Rossoneri goals, but both were reviewed, and neither decision was wrong. There can be no hard feelings about the result of the manner in which it arrived.
