Gianluca Di Marzio, journalist for ‘Sky Sport’, provided the latest updates on Luka Jovic and Emerson Royal, Milan players affected by injuries, more or less recent, through the website ‘Pazzi di Fanta’.
This morning, Jovic, who missed the Venezia – Milan match yesterday despite initially being listed in the starting lineup due to discomfort during warm-up, was evaluated by the club’s medical staff. Acute lower back pain was diagnosed for the Serbian striker, born in 1997, who had recently scored a brilliant brace in the Coppa Italia derby against Inter earlier this week.
For Jovic, who has already started the necessary therapies, more serious issues have been ruled out. The number 9 of Milan will be managed, especially with the Coppa Italia final in mind, but he will be available again in a few days, at most within a week.
What about Emerson Royal?
As for Emerson Royal, the full-back is not far from returning to the field. Even today, Monday, April 28, the Brazilian is at Milanello. He is doing personalised training. He will be back with the group by the end of the week or the beginning of the next.
The former Tottenham player, as remembered, had gotten injured just minutes into Milan-Girona 1-0 in the Champions League on January 22.
