Gbs: Atletico Madrid eying Milan liked Valencia star…see more

In the past six months, the name of Cristhian Mosquera has regularly popped up on the AC Milan feed, but it seems the club may have waited too long to move.

In winter, Mosquera’s name was a mainstay of the discussions, with Milan seeing the talent of the youngster early on. However, they were not the only one to take notice of his talent.

Now, the Spanish defender is a ‘very popular’ option for the summer mercato, and Relevo reports that there are many clubs taking an interest in him ahead of the window opening, whilst the Diavolo also keep him in their sights.

However, the big threat to the Rossoneri’s chances of landing the defender is Atletico Madrid, who are working to sign the talent from Valencia already. Furthermore, Matteo Moretto states that the Spanish club are the more likely destination, with the defender preferring a move within Spain.

The saving grace to the situation is that Atleti are dreaming of Christian Romero of Tottenham Hotspur, which could rule out a move for the defender. However, his personal wishes to remain in Spain could be enough to see Milan back off.
