Gbs: Good news for Conceicao…see more

Despite not having as many issues as last season, AC Milan have still struggled with injuries this season, but the injury room may finally be empty.

The season began with a few injuries in America, most notably Alessandro Florenzi, whose injury kept him sidelined until just a few weeks ago. Many, at that time, then feared that Milan were going to have a similar year on the injury front.

Whilst it has not been as extreme, there have still certainly been too many injuries and issues to compete with regularly, and this has impacted the Rossoneri’s season a little. However, it cannot be an excuse for the dismal season.

Now, in the final weeks and ‘business’ end of the season, the club can look at a near-empty injury room with glee, as Gianluca Di Marzio, via Pazzi di Fanta, reports that Luka Jovic and Emerson Royal are close to returning for the Diavolo.

Starting with Jovic, the striker’s condition has improved again, and he is ‘doing better’ after struggling with acute lumbago before kick-off last week against Venezia, a game which he was due to start. Then, Emerson Royal has returned to training with the group after his injury in January, he could potentially feature among the squad this weekend.
