Breaking news: Milan look to Spain and Serie A to solve

Last year, the bane of Milan’s season was their defensive issues, however, it was more due to injuries. Whilst the defensive problems have remained, the actual cause is more difficult to identify. Though it has a lot to do with depth once again.

Throughout the season, the Rossoneri have used nearly 20 different defensive combinations, and this has had significant impacts on the defensive structure.

On this alone, defensive changes are expected, given there is a need for a set unit that can be consistently relied upon. Then, there are also defensive departures that will affect the current look of the team with Fikayo Tomori and Malick Thiaw both linked with moves away.

So it is inevitable that the Diavolo will be active this summer.

As Calciomercato.com write there are several targets being lined up, and the biggest is in the way of Cristian Mosquera – a defender who Geoffrey Moncada has been watching for some time now. Back in Italy, there are a few that are being considered: Koni De Winter, Mario Gila and Oumar Solet – each of whom have shown promise this season.
