Milan may have found form at the right time as the five-time Coppa Italia champions bid to win the competition for the first time since 2003 when they face Bologna in the 2025 final at the Stadio Olimpico on Wednesday.

The Rossoneri have won four consecutive matches in all competitions after a 3-1 home win over I Rossoblu on Friday, handing their opponents in the decider a first defeat in five matches.

While both sides need other results to go their way across the remaining two Serie A matchdays to qualify for European competition through their league positions, victory in the showpiece would guarantee a place in next season’s Europa League.

101GreatGoals.com has you covered for the line-ups, team news and confirmed starting sides for Milan vs Bologna in the 2025 Coppa Italia final.

Midfielder Youssouf Fofana and forward Rafael Leao both return for Milan, while defender Fikayo Tomori has overcome a knock to start.

Luka Jovic is in the lone striker role, but midfielders Warren Bondo and Riccardo Sottil are still out.

Alex Jimenez is preferred at full-back again to England international Kyle Walker, who is approaching the end of his loan from Manchester City.

Milan starting XI: Maignan, Tomori, Gabbia, Pavlovic, Jimenez, Fofana, Reijnders, Theo Hernandez, Pulisic, Jovic, Leao

Switzerland international Dan Ndoye returns from injury for Bologna, with Lewis Ferguson partnering Remo Freuler in midfield.

Riccardo Orsolini and Giovanni Fabbian support Ndoye in attack at the expense of Jens Odgaard, while defender Martin Erlic and forward Estanis Pedrola are injured.

Former Milan full-back Davide Calabria is on the bench as Emil Holm starts at right-back and forward Santiago Castro is restored following a foot injury in place of Thijs Dallinga.

Bologna starting XI: Skorupski, Holm, Beukema, Lucumi, Miranda, Ferguson, Freuler, Orsolini, Fabbian, Ndoye, Castro
