In the usual confusion that reigns, at least one small certainty exists: the new Milan will be more Italian not only on the bench, but also on the pitch. The Rossoneri club has understood that it is necessary to recreate a solid Italian core in the locker room, and for this reason, during the summer transfer market, it will try to Italianize the Milan squad as much as possible. This is reported this morning by La Gazzetta dello Sport.

As for potential targets, obviously much will depend on who the new coach will be and on the roles that will remain uncovered after any sales. Milan, for example, could add a winger, and the two hottest names for this area of the pitch are those of Federico Chiesa of Liverpool and Riccardo Orsolini of Bologna. The former has found little space at the Reds and therefore could leave in the summer, perhaps even on loan. The latter, instead, is coming off a great season under the guidance of Vincenzo Italiano, who is in the sights of the club for the bench. The Rossoblu management values him at 25 million euros.

Also in attack, Milan could decide to bring in an alternative to Santiago Gimenez, and for this reason, the name of Lorenzo Lucca of Udinese, already pursued in January by the Rossoneri before signing the Mexican striker, could come back into fashion. Eyes are also open on Italian targets in defense, where, for example, Comuzzo of Fiorentina, Coppola of Verona, and Leoni of Parma are liked. Finally, pay attention to a potentially very interesting market opportunity for the midfield: from Roma, their captain Lorenzo Pellegrini is in fact on the way out, with his contract expiring in 2026, and could therefore move under favorable conditions.
