amid reports linking him with a move away from Santiago Bernabeu this summer.

Real Madrid midfielder, Toni Kroos has claimed he would have lowered his salary if the club had asked him amid reports linking him with a move away from Santiago Bernabeu this summer.

It was said that the player’s salary has been kept the same. However, Kroos seemingly would have been open to a reduced wage had Madrid made the request.

Kroos said: (h/t @MadridXtra on Twitter): “If I have to lower my salary, I would do it without any problem because when you are a Madridista, it is not about money.”
