Christian Pulisic has been hot in the news in the past few days, and it seems the AC Milan star will continue to be.
A player with Pulisic’s quality will always be discussed; that much is a given. However, with Milan sorting out a new contract for the winger, there were hopes that his long-term future was with the club. However, this seems not to be the case.
Yesterday, reports emerged that the American had sought clarification from the club and put his renewal talks on hold until it arrives, but it seems things may have gone worse, with the player ‘not happy’ with things.
Interest is already present in him, as it has been for months now, and Matteo Moretto suggests that things will only get worse for those of a Rossoneri perspective. Today, he covered the topic when speaking on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel, and his words have been relayed by Milan News.
“One of the first issues that Tare will have to address is the many renewals, the various situations that are still stuck at Casa Milan.
“One of these is that of Pulisic, who does not have an expiring contract, he does not have a short contract, he expires in 2027 with an option for 2028, but Milan has been negotiating his renewal for several months now.
“The parties have arrived, I would not say at the contracts, but almost. They have reached a verbal agreement, they have discussed figures and numbers, contract adjustments and everything in terms of salary.
“Then at a certain point, Pulisic asked and took time because he wanted to understand Milan’s sporting project between the sporting director and the coach. He wants to have guarantees for the future.
“Pulisic’s agent is moving a lot, he proposed the boy both in Italy and abroad. But the player certainly has a contract with Milan, and in my opinion, once these ideas are clear, then we can also get to a contract extension.
“As of today, the renewal is on standby, as are those of Maignan and Theo for other reasons. Tare will have to unravel these situations.”
