With Igli Tare’s arrival seeming imminent, AC Milan can start looking to next season. However, they must cross the bridge of the summer mercato.
This is, without a doubt, the biggest window for Milan in recent years. A new sporting director must find his bearings instantly, bring a new head coach and also oversee a squad overhaul. It is a cluster of tasks with minimal time.
As Gazzetta dello Sport writes, he will become a reference point immediately for the club, which has been needed for some time. Of course, this means that he will be the person who ensures standards are met, whilst also becoming someone of trust for the players.
Beyond this, he was present at the Coppa Italia final, which was a showing of the Rossoneri’s worst. So, he knows the magnitude of the task he is walking into and the steps which he must take to rebuild.
