The 26-year-old only played the final 10 minutes of the Eagles’ 4-2 win at Selhurst Park on Tuesday, 20 May, with Eddie Nketiah bagging a brace and a brilliant free-kick from Ben Chilwell.

Dean Henderson, following his controversial incident against Man City, was unable to keep out efforts from Emmanuel Agbadou and Jorgen Strand Larsen, but Oliver Glasner’s side held on for three points.

Palace are just two points off the top half of the Premier League table, and could go even further next season after lifting the FA Cup title thanks to Eze’s goal, but they may have to do it without their biggest star

understands that Palace could accept a “low” offer for Eze amid interest from Man City, with supporters now expecting the playmaker to depart Selhurst Park this summer

Taking to Instagram (21 May), Eze wrote: “Ain’t really much,” after needing just five minutes on the pitch to score the fourth and final goal against Wolves at Selhurst Park.

A whole host of players liked the post, including teammate Marc Guehi, Arsenal duo Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice, as well as Bayern Munich’s former Palace star Michael Olise and Bundesliga teammate Jamal Musiala.

Eze’s future is not the only concern at Selhurst Park this summer, with several stars impressing during what has been an intriguing first full season in England for Glasner.

The Austrian has won 48 per cent of his 61 games in charge, and having helped the Eagles to their first major trophy at Wembley Stadium, he is already seen as a hero at Selhurst Park.

However, Guehi could also seal a move away from South London this summer, with Football Insider understanding that the club’s FA Cup victory is unlikely to make a difference to the Palace captain’s future.

Jean-Philippe Mateta, Tyrick Mitchell, and Adam Wharton have all also been linked with tough exits this summer, but any funds from those moves could help rebuild the squad ahead of next season.

Losing several of these stars in the same window would be painful for the supporters, but with Palace now on the map with their FA Cup win, it may not be so difficult to attract new and exciting talents.
