MN: Kyle Walker heading for the exit…see more

Pep Guardiola says Kyle Walker will not be involved in Manchester City’s Club World Cup tilt amid reports he will leave the Etihad permanently.

The 34-year-old joined AC Milan on loan in January but after the Italian giants passed up the chance to sign him permanently, the England international may not have a future at the Etihad either.

Guardiola told reporters on Friday: “Walker will not be with us at the Club World Cup.”

Moreover, Fabrizio Romano claims that Walker will leave City this summer after Guardiola ostensibly confirmed the right-back was not part of his future plans and that Newcastle United’s Tino Livramento is now their number one right-back target.

Walker is a City legend after playing 319 times and winning six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, four Carabao Cups, and a Champions League, among other honours, over the past eight years. But it seems the former Tottenham man now faces an uncertain future after seemingly being made surplus to requirements at City.

It remains to be seen what Walker’s next move will be but before then, his parent club City round off their season away at Fulham in the Premier League on Sunday. Their Club World Cup campaign begins next month in the United States but Walker won’t be involved.
