AC Milan CEO Giorgio Furlani has pledged to deliver announcements about the club’s future next week, responding to the protests from fans.
The build-up to the game has been marred by protests from Milan fans. Firstly it was announced that they will exit the stadium after 15 minutes and leave the team ‘alone with their shame’, while thousands gathered outside Casa Milan to chant against the ownership and management.
In terms of what is left to fight for on the field in the final league match, the answer is very little. Bologna’s defeat to Genoa means that it is possible for Milan to finish eighth and avoid a Coppa Italia game in August against Bari, the competition that the Rossoblu ironically beat them in the final of.
Furlani spoke to DAZN just before kick-off at San Siro and his answers were relayed by MilanNews.

“There is great anger and regret among the fans, feelings that we also have. Today the season ends, from tomorrow we will start again immediately in view of the next season.
