Breaking news: My future? Milan is alway Milan, it applies to everyone… see more

Massimo Ambrosini made some statements on the sidelines of the Serie A Festival, currently taking place in Parma. The former midfielder, now a pundit for DAZN and Amazon Prime Video, also spoke about Milan—touching on Allegri, Modric, Tare, and his own future

Tare? Milan has made logical choices; he’s a football man with a career that speaks for itself. He’ll give a hand from a technical and organizational standpoint. I’m reading about some interesting decisions, but we’re at the beginning of a market that’s still evolving. And there was readiness in quickly appointing a good coach who was becoming attractive to many. Allegri? The credit that we’ve all acknowledged him for is precisely his ability to manage many personalities and bring out the best in them within the dressing room. His priority will be to enhance the strong players already in the squad and get a different performance out of them compared to what we saw this year.

Me? We’ll see… I haven’t had direct contact with anyone. I’m happy doing what I do in a serious company that supports and values me. Then of course, Milan is always Milan—it applies to everyone.

His ID card has its weight, but he can certainly contribute; he has specific qualities and played a lot even in the past season. Just having certain personalities in the dressing room can help, especially the younger players. Maybe he won’t play all the matches, but he’ll be important. Allegri will know how to manage him, as he always has throughout his career.”
