Ciro Immobile has offered his services to Igli Tare and AC Milan as Luka Jovic looks set to depart the club, according to a report.
Jovic started the 2024-25 campaign as Milan’s third-choice striker, but managed to gain more playing time after some very good performances in the second half of the season. However, with his contract expiring this summer, the Serbian will likely wave goodbye.
In the meantime, as reported by Corriere della Sera (via Il Garante), the Besiktas and former Lazio striker Ciro Immobile has offered himself to Milan. More specifically, he has reached out to sporting director Tare in an attempt to take Jovic’s role in the squad.
At the age of 35, he’s not exactly getting any younger but this past season, he bagged an impressive 19 goals in 41 appearances. He would also be useful for the squad lists, being Italian, and you would imagine that the salary would be more reasonable than Jovic’s.
It remains to be seen if Tare will pursue the idea and deepen talks with Immobile. The Italian still has one year left on his contract with Besiktas and that would have to be figured out, as Milan certainly wouldn’t pay (if not a very nominal fee) for a 35-year-old.
