Christos Mouzakitis is one of the rising stars in Greek football, and AC Milan have again been credited with interest.
Mouzakitis joined the youth academy of Greek side Olympiacos at seven years of age, and made his senior debut last year while still a teenager. Last season, he racked up two goals and five assists across 38 games (all competitions).
He also made his debut for Greek national team on 17 November 2024 in a UEFA Nations League game against Finland at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium, making him one of the youngest ever to debut for the senior side.
Tuttosport (via MilanPress) – who are the author of the Golden Boy Web ranking – write that Mouzakitis’ status as an elite talent is growing. The 18-year-old midfielder is considered one of the brightest rising stars, even surpassing names like Arda Guler and Kenan Yildiz.
According to the newspaper, the Olympiacos sensation is followed by all the big European clubs. Manchester United, Arsenal, Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest are all keen in England.
Milan and Napoli are mentioned as being keen too. The Piraeus-based club will not sell him for less than €30m, which is huge for someone his age. Another curiosity is that Luka Modric is his idol.
