Hernandez’s move to Al-Hilal is not yet official, denying the idea of the deal falling through.
The Theo saga threatened to potentially drag on and become an issue that took up the whole summer. That was, however, until the left-back decided to accept a huge proposal from Al-Hilal, finally giving the green light to moving to Saudi Arabia.
It seems like it will only be a matter of time before the formalities arrive for Theo’s departure, and it allows Milan to progress with their own window too. However, there have been question marks about why there has been no announcement.
After yesterday’s report from MilanNews which reassured fans about the situation, Fabrizio Romano spoke on his YouTube channel about why things are taking so long. His comments are via MilanNews.
“Many are wondering why Al-Hilal have not yet made Theo Hernandez’s arrival official,” the journalist began.
“The reason is that the Arabs are waiting to exit the Club World Cup because they do not want to announce the Frenchman while another full-back is playing. In the next few days, the final formal steps will be defined, but the deal is not in doubt.”
Now, we will see who Milan try to bring in as the replacement for the former Real Madrid man, with Maxim De Cuyper the hottest name at present it seems.
