Home » They will not face the top three of the list, but will face a total of six of the 10 and also one of the five who received honorable mention. Top-10 RBs the Cardinals will face in 2025 No. 4 Bijan Robinson, Atlanta Falcons (Week 16) No. 5 Christian McCaffrey, San Francisco 49ers (Weeks 3, 11) No. 6 Josh Jacobs, Green Bay Packers (Week 7) No. 7 Jonathan Taylor, Indianapolis Colts (Week 6) No. 9 Joe Mixon, Houston Texans (Week 15) No. 10 Alvin Kamara, New Orleans Saints (Week 1) Honorable mention Bucky Irving, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Week 13) The Cardinals were 20th in rushing defense last season but 25th in yards per attempt, allowing 4.6 yards per carry. It was a reason why they were dead last plays allowed per drive and second-to-last in time allowed per drive. But with a beefed up defensive line and edge presence, their run defense should be better. Will that be enough to slow this lineup of opposing backs? That is one thing to watch this season. Arizona Cardinals to face 6 of NFL’s top 10 RBs in 2025Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner came just short of the list of the top 10 running backs in the NFL, according to NFL coaches, scouts and executives. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler did the legwork and research.

While the Conner did receive honorable mention, the Cardinals will face many of the top backs in the league. This article originally appeared on Cards Wire: Arizona Cardinals to face these 6 RBs in ESPN’s top 10 listMike Florio explains why 49ers are one of five NFC Super Bowl contenders originally appeared on NBC Sports Bay Area

Could the 49ers be one of the NFC’s Super Bowl contenders?

Despite going from Super Bowl runner-up in 2023 to finishing last in the NFC West in 2024, Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio believes San Francisco still is a top-five power in its conference. In the NFC, it’s the Eagles, Lions, Rams, 49ers, and Commanders. Maybe the Buccaneers. Maybe the Vikings,” Florio wrote.

“Again, things can and will change. That’s why they play the games, as someone once said. All the time.”

It’s been a busy offseason in Santa Clara, with plenty of core players signing extensions while others opting to move on.

The 49ers signed George Kittle, Brock Purdy and Fred Warner to long-term contracts but also let some familiar faces walk, like Talanoa Hufanga and Dre Greenlaw.

Another key departure was wide receiver Deebo Samuel, who was traded to the Washington Commanders in March after the 29-year-old requested a trade from the franchise.
