Gbs: Corradi’s praise, De Sciglio’s path…see more

One of the names that fans might read more about under Massimiliano Allegri is Vittorio Magni, and for a very obvious reason.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, although Milan are very much in ‘win now’ mode after a disastrous season and with Allegri coming back, there will still be the chance for young talents for forge opportunities and playing time.

Among them is Vittorio Magni, a full-back with a special bond with the Rossoneri. Born in Milan, he has been wearing the red and black shirt for several years now, and has now begun his training with the first team under the orders of Allegri.

The mission will be to convince the Livorno coach – who called him up to start the season with the senior side – to give him a further look in the preseason tour, which will see Milan play opponents like Arsenal and Liverpool in Asia.

Magni joined the national team at the age of 16 with Bernardo Corradi, who accompanied him in various moments of his career. The full-back was immediately aggregated in the Under 17 as an under age player, playing until the semi-finals of the European Championship.

He has 26 total appearances for the Azzurrini at the various levels, also uniting with Corradi at the Under 19 level. The latter has joined Allegri’s staff, so he will be able to count on those who have known him and seen him grow. Or faced as an opponent, too.

Francesco Magnanelli knows Magni well, having returned to Allegri after a year as coach of Juventus’ Primavera. In the league, the Bianconeri lost 3-0 at home against Milan, and one of the protagonists of the match was the full-back who provided an excellent assist.

Magni stands out for his ability to play both on the right and on the left. He is a full-back who pushes forward and has good qualities, but above all speed and defensive attitude: on corner kicks he often remains as the last man back to exploit his ability in the recovery phase.

His path can ‘follow in the footsteps of Mattia De Sciglio’, who began in the Rossoneri youth team, earning Allegri’s respect. The Milan raduno is the first new stage for Magni, and the objective is set: the coach will closely observe the ambitions of the young full-back.
