Bukayo Saka and Viktor Gyokeres could soon become teammates at Arsenal.
The Sweden international is hot property at the moment after incredibly scoring 54 goals in 52 games for Sporting CP across all competitions last season.
TBR Football understand Arsenal are expected to sign Gyokeres in a £65m deal in the coming weeks, with the Swede himself pushing for a move.
Currently, the issue is in regards to how much of the fee Sporting CP receive upfront as opposed to staggered payments.
Despite spending the last four years of his career in Coventry and Lisbon, Viktor Gyokeres has actually played at the Emirates Stadium against Arsenal – where Bukayo Saka did something that surely lingers in the striker’s memory.
Back in August 2018, Gyokeres played for Brighton in an U23 Premier League match against Arsenal.
A goal from Reiss Nelson put Arsenal ahead in the 87th minute before Aaron Connolly equalised in the 93rd minute, but the stoppage time strike was a sideshow to the emergence of Saka.
Aged just 16 at the time, the Hale End graduate singlehandedly tore Brighton apart, surging down the left flank, twisting his defender in knots before delivering a delightful cross for Nelson to score.
Gyokeres – who led the line for Brighton at the time – could only watch on helplessly, but is presumably now excited by the prospect of being the man on the end of such brilliant deliveries from Saka, who has obviously progressed tenfold since this game in 2018 to become one of the best in Europe.

Despite boasting great physical attributes – standing at 6ft 2in with a muscular frame and rapid pace – Gyokeres is actually quite poor in the air.
Of his 220 career goals, only 12 have been headers, which is a quite remarkable statistic.
Therefore, if Saka – who may have to relinquish penalty duties – and Gyokeres do become teammates this summer, the Arsenal No.7 would be wise to keep his deliveries low like the assist for Nelson back in 2018.
