Victor Boniface could become a concrete option in Milan’s striker pursuit this summer, according to Christian Falk, but the negotiations are yet to kick off with Bayer Leverkusen.
Signing a striker is one of Milan’s priorities this summer, with Santiago Gimenez the only one available currently, and several names have been mentioned. Victor Boniface is one of them; a player who was linked with the Rossoneri before he joined Bayer Leverkusen.
This past season, he found the back of the net eight times and only made 19 appearances for the club, missing several games due to injury. As such, instead of being an unsellable player, Bayer Leverkusen are willing to consider a sale.
According to Christian Falk for the Daily Briefing this morning, Boniface is indeed some that Leverkusen would be willing to sell, while the player himself would be more than happy with a move to Milan.
“At this point in time, it’s hard to say something concrete about AC Milan’s interest in Victor Boniface, as the Serie A outfit has also not made an offer that Leverkusen are prepared to accept.
“So, I think something could happen here, but it’s up to Milan to be more concrete on the matter. Leverkusen would sell the Nigerian striker, and he would be prepared to go to an interested club like AC Milan. However, negotiations still have to take place,” he wrote.
