Jordan Miller’s crisp offensive performance helped offset a similarly impressive effort from Bronny James and vaulted the Los Angeles Clippers to a 67-58 win over the Los Angeles Lakers in an NBA 2K26 Summer League battle at Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas on Monday night.
The Clippers appeared well on their way to a comfortable win early, as they held a 22-13 advantage through one despite the Lakers opening the game on a quick 5-2 run. However, James and company thrived on both ends during the second period, enjoying an 18-10 edge that led to a razor-thin one-point lead for the Clippers at intermission. The Lakers subsequently opened the fourth quarter on an 8-0 run that helped keep the final period close until Miller’s 3-pointer with 3:18 remaining erased a two-point deficit and ignited the Clippers’ game-ending 11-0 sprint.
Miller paced the Clippers with 19 points, adding seven rebounds, two assists and two steals. Zavier Simpson furnished 12 points, six assists, four rebounds and two blocks. Patrick Baldwin Jr. and rookie first-round pick Yanic Konan Niederhauser delivered 10 points apiece. Baldwin added seven rebounds and two blocks and Niederhauser tallied two rebounds and two steals among their other contributions.
James shot an efficient 6-for-10 from the field on his way to leading the Lakers with 17 points, a figure he complemented with five rebounds and five assists. Cole Swider registered 16 points, five boards and three steals. Dalton Knecht supplied eight points, seven rebounds and two assists, while Christian Koloko matched Knecht’s scoring and added three boards and three steals.
