Arsenal have already sealed three transfers this summer and are poised to swiftly add more in the coming days.
The Gunners kicked off with a £5million deal for Kepa Arrizabalaga, followed by a marquee signing of Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad. Christian Norgaard then joined the ranks from Brentford as Mikel Arteta’s squad begins to take form ahead of the new season.
But the job isn’t done yet. Arsenal have struck another agreement with Chelsea and are now gearing up to announce the signing of Noni Madueke. And it seems the Premier League runners-up are finally on the cusp of securing a striker for Arteta to mould.
Viktor Gyokeres’ switch from Sporting CP appears imminent in the next few days following a breakthrough. Daily Star Sport brings you the latest transfer news and whispers from the Emirates.
Noni Madueke is set to be unveiled as an Arsenal player on Tuesday, reports the Mirror.
Reports suggest that the former PSV winger has passed his medical and inked the paperwork after the England international jetted back from the Club World Cup to finalise the deal.
The Gunners are reportedly shelling out £52m to Chelsea for his services, bolstering their attacking line-up. Madueke is joining on a five-year contract.
Progress is being made on Viktor Gyokeres’ transfer to Arsenal, with the Gunners reportedly reaching an agreement with Sporting on Sunday evening.
The breakthrough allegedly came after the Swede’s agent, Hasan Cetinkaya, agreed to forgo part of his fee, enabling the north London club to meet the £55m upfront demand, along with a further £8.6m in guaranteed add-ons, totalling a deal worth £63.6m.
Cetinkaya is now said to be in London to iron out the final details of the move to Arsenal. Once these are sorted, Gyokeres will be given the green light to travel for his medical.
The transfer action doesn’t seem to be slowing down at Arsenal, with reports suggesting they’ve made headway in talks for Valencia defender Cristhian Mosquera. A verbal agreement is believed to have been reached over a package worth €15m (£13m) plus add-ons.
Mosquera, who was keen to join Arsenal, is understood to have a long-term contract lined up at the Emirates. The Gunners had their sights set on the La Liga star throughout the summer but faced hurdles in agreeing a fee, which now seems to have been sorted.
The player could be unveiled as Arsenal’s latest recruit later this week.
