Reports suggest Milan will finalise the details with Young Boys today for Zachary Athekame, who should arrive for €10m including add-ons, plus a 10 per cent cut of the future profit.
According to L’Equipe, RMC Sport and more, the agreement is down to the details and the player is expected in Italy for his medical early this week.
It had been suggested the total package would be worth around €9m, but that Young Boys had increased the asking price due to growing interest.
Now the French media insist the deal can be struck for €10m including add-ons, plus a 10 per cent cut of the future profit from any sale.
The original offer was turned down at €7m and slowly increased with the use of performance-related bonuses.
Athekame is a 20-year-old right-back who can also play in a more advanced attacking role down that flank.
He only recently signed a new contract with Young Boys to June 2029 and is expected to undergo his medical tests within the next 48 hours.
