Report: Arsenal have agreed £8.6m deal…see more

Arsenal have been busy in their summer transfer window and the Emirates Stadium faithful will be full of hope ahead of their Premier League season starting on Sunday.

The Gunners have improved their squad over the off-season, with Arsenal signing Viktor Gyokeres and a host of new players to boost Mikel Arteta’s squad.

However, with extra competition for places, some Arsenal fringe players will surely leave North London before the window closes on September 1.

And the latest report from media in Turkey suggest the Premier League side has accepted an offer from Fenerbahce for a star who has fallen down the Arsenal pecking order.

Turkish outlet Sporx states Arsenal have accepted a €10 million offer for Oleksandr Zinchenko, with talks underway to finalise a deal for the versatile defender.

The 28-year-old has fallen out of Arteta’s favour, with the Gunners preferring Myles Lewis-Skelly or Riccardo Calafiori at left-back towards the end of last season.

The report suggests representatives from Fenerbahce have been in London to negotiate with Arsenal director Andrea Berta and the clubs have reached an agreement on the Ukraine international.

It concludes by stating the ‘Jose Mourinho trump card’ should help the Super Lig side beat interest from Porto in Zinchenko.

Arsenal signed Zinchenko from Manchester City in 2022 to much fanfare, with the Ukrainian seen as a player that could help the Gunners fight for trophies.

However, the left-back has struggled for form and fitness in recent years, playing only 15 Premier League games for Arteta’s men last season.

While Zinchenko leaving will rob Arsenal of a player whose versatility would have been useful given the London club are playing in four competitions in 2025-26, the 28-year-old is likely to be eager for first-team football.

As the transfer window deadline approaches, Arsenal will surely let other fringe men leave to balance the books after a big summer of business at the Emirates Stadium.
