Manchester United are preparing themselves for matchday this Saturday as they welcome Crystal Palace back to Old Trafford, this time in the Premier League.
United fans do not need to have the best memory to remember the last time these two faced each other as the Reds come into the match on the back of a victory over Palace. Alejandro Garnacho, Casemiro and Anthony Martial scored to secure comfortable passage to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.
Roy Hodgson has been keen to reiterate in the build-up to this rematch that it is another game and the previous result will not hold an effect on the outcome and Erik ten Hag will likely be making the same point to his players. In midweek, the Reds welcomed back Mason Mount and there was also a first start for Sofyan Amrabat.
Both men will expect to feature today while Christian Eriksen and Scott McTominay are also available after recovering from illness. Lisandro Martinez and Sergio Reguilon are the latest players to be struck down with injury.
Martinez is suffering with a reoccurrence of the foot injury he suffered in April. Fortunately, Reguilon’s time on the sidelines should be shorter.
