Between Atletico Madrid’s interest and the expiring contract, Hernandez’s adventure at Milan seems to be over. He has enjoyed many good seasons with the Rossoneri but the 2024-25 campaign, it must be said, was far below his standards. And now, a replacement must be found. According to today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport (see photo below), Zinchenko has been on the Rossoneri’s radar for several years now, and this summer could be the perfect opportunity. Indeed, the relations with Arsenal are very good and the cost of the operation is reasonable. The left-back has a price tag of around €15m,…
USMNT head coach Mauricio Pochettino has explained why Christian Pulisic did not feature for his nation during recent friendly losses against Turkey and Switzerland and why he will not feature in the upcoming Gold Cup: ‘Players need to listen and to stick with our plan’. Pulisic, who made 50 appearances across all competitions with Milan this season, plus another seven with the USMNT, had given his national side his availability for the friendly matches against Turkey and Switzerland, but not for the Gold Cup matches thereafter, citing a need for rest after a busy two years with the Rossoneri. Pochettino,…
Ukrainian defender Oleksandr Zinchenko is reportedly keen on joining AC , according to Football Italia. Sources reveal that the Italian club views Zinchenko as the ideal replacement for Theo Hernández, whose contract with AC Milan runs until June 30, 2026. However, Milan is expected to sell Hernández before making an official bid for Zinchenko. Previously, Theo rejected an offer from Al Hilal and has been in talks with Atlético Madrid, but Milan reportedly turned down Atlético’s proposal of €18 million plus €2-3 million in bonuses. For context, Zinchenko has been with Arsenal since July 2022, having transferred from Manchester City…
NBA free agency is about three weeks away, and it’s not a great crop of free agents. Teams are trying to get tax-compliant, as the tax aprons have messed with a plenty of future plans, and many teams are trying to save money for the 2026 offseason when players like Luka Dončić, Damian Lillard, Trae Young, Aaron Gordon and more could be available. That will force expensive teams, like the Los Angeles Lakers, to hunt in the bargain bin and look for players who fill out the edges of the roster and play meaningful minutes when needed. One player the…
Arsenal are poised to speed up their pursuit of a new striker next week, according to A Bola (page 18). The Gunners are determined to sign a marquee centre-forward, and they have identified their prime targets. RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko and Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyokeres are presently at the top of their wishlist. Talks are simultaneously ongoing for both strikers, and A Bola provide an update on Gyokeres’ situation. The outlet claim that Arsenal’s opening offer of €55 million plus €10m in add-ons was turned down. They don’t want to drag negotiations over several weeks and plan to make a…
Breaking news: Martinelli upgrade: Berta eyeing £38m Nico Williams alternative for Arsenal… see more
Mikel Arteta’s side may have done well in the Champions League and finished second in the Premier League, but the club’s ambition was to win a significant honour, which they failed to do. There were a number of players who failed to deliver, with Gabriel Martinelli being one of the attackers who really flattered to deceive. Interestingly, the Brazilian’s inability to get back to the levels he showed in 22/23 might have cost him his place in the team, as recent reports have linked the club with an exciting youngster who could be an ideal upgrade. Much of the chatter…
Soundly beaten by the Timberwolves in the playoffs, the Lakers know they must evolve if they hope to return to the spotlight. And once again, it’s Magic Johnson who’s saying out loud what many are thinking about the team’s upcoming roster moves. According to him, there’s plenty of work to be done within the organization. According to the franchise legend, the Lakers’ needs are clear. They must recruit a true center—but that’s not all. Magic Johnson recently spoke out to highlight the gaps that led to the failure of the 2024–25 season. In addition to the interior presence, he pointed…
On Saturday, Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark made her return to action after an extended absence due to injury. She helped lead the Fever to a 102-88 victory over the New York Liberty (at home). One person who reacted to her big performance was Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James. His post had over 58,000 likes and 3.2 million impressions in less than 24 hours. Clark is in her second season playing for the Fever. She has averages of 21.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, 9.2 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.2 blocks per contest while shooting 43.9% from the field and 36.7%…
In his Big 3 debut, it took no time at all for Basketball Hall of Famer Dwight Howard to get into it. Interestingly enough, it was with a fellow Los Angeles Lakers alum, Lance Stephenson. During the game, Howard and Stephenson got into a scuffle that started with Howard shoving Stephenson away, then led to Howard putting Stephenson in a one-arm headlock before both players tackled each other to the ground. The fight happened moments after Stephenson got into it with another former NBA player, Jordan Crawford, though to be fair, Crawford started that scuffle. It’s unclear if Howard took…
The Los Angeles Lakers are poised to have a busy offseason. One area that has been a huge need for the Lakers is getting help at the center position. The Lakers have been in the market for an emerging center for the past two or three seasons. There is a huge target out there that the Lakers could realistically land through a trade with the Utah Jazz. That target is Walker Kessler. The Utah Jazz have publicly made Kessler available and are expected to listen to trade offers for him, per Deseret News’ Sarah Todd. Walker Kessler is still very…
