Pep Guardiola says Kyle Walker will not be involved in Manchester City’s Club World Cup tilt amid reports he will leave the Etihad permanently. The 34-year-old joined AC Milan on loan in January but after the Italian giants passed up the chance to sign him permanently, the England international may not have a future at the Etihad either. Guardiola told reporters on Friday: “Walker will not be with us at the Club World Cup.” Moreover, Fabrizio Romano claims that Walker will leave City this summer after Guardiola ostensibly confirmed the right-back was not part of his future plans and that…

Pep Guardiola has confirmed whether Kyle Walker will be part of Manchester City’s travelling group to the United States for the FIFA Club World Cup in June. Walker has spent the second half of the season on loan at AC Milan after a difficult few months near the turn of the year that saw him commit a series of high-profile mistakes and lose his place in the starting XI. The England international has been one of Pep Guardiola’s best and most successful signings and whilst being widely regarded as the best full-back in Premier League history, Walker’s time at the…

The 2024-25 Premier League season will live longer in the memories of some fans compared to others. Liverpool supporters will obviously cherish being able to watch their team lift the trophy from inside Anfield for the first time in 35 years, while Nottingham Forest will look back on a campaign that surpassed even their wildest dreams, regardless of whether it finishes with qualification for the Champions League or not. Others, like those who follow Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham, will be hoping to erase thoughts of their league campaigns as quickly as possible and start looking ahead to brighter…

AC Milan will play the final game of their 2024-25 season on Saturday night as they take on already relegated Monza at San Siro. The curtain will fall on Milan’s campaign in quite a sad way, after back-to-back defeats at the Stadio Olimpico really knocked the wind out of their sails and fully stamped out any slim hopes of securing a European spot. Sergio Conceicao won’t even be present for what should be his last game in charge as he received a red card in the last round, while he did not do a press conference on the eve of…

The NBA playoffs have reached the conference finals, but the Los Angeles Lakers are notably absent. After finishing third in the Western Conference standings, LA was eliminated in the opening round by the Minnesota Timberwolves. There were several factors that led to the Lakers’ early exit, with one being a lack of consistent production outside of LeBron James and Luka Doncic. This superstar duo helped lead LA to the third seed, and combined for 55.6 points in five postseason contests. For James, the loss to Minnesota concluded his 22nd NBA season that saw him appear in 70 regular season contests.…

Luka Doncic is undoubtedly an offensive cheat code. With the 6-foot-6 superstar’s ability to create stress-free scoring opportunities for his teammates and take over contests in crunch time, it’s safe to say the Los Angeles Lakers are in good hands for the foreseeable future. However, Doncic is a flawed player, and the five-time All-Star’s recent offseason decision indicates he’s working toward making the appropriate changes this summer. “I have heard from folks that are pretty honest about the conditioning stuff that Luka has already begun a clean state, starting anew, is in this mindset of changing a lot about himself,”…

One of the biggest concerns for the LA Lakers this offseason is Luka Doncic’s conditioning. It was one of the main reasons why the Dallas Mavericks gave up on him and traded for Anthony Davis. Despite his star power, conditioning remains one of Doncic’s biggest flaws. Defensively, it hasn’t helped him perform to the standard that the teams and critics hold him to. Occasionally, he flashes his defensive ability. However, his lack of proper conditioning has kept him from being a reliable asset on that end. On Friday, there was an update on Doncic from the director of the “Mind…

Former NBA star Gary Payton defended Dallas Mavericks GM Nico Harrison on the Luka Dončić trade. After stunning the NBA world by deciding to trade away Dončić in return for Anthony Davis, Harrison was subject to an incredible amount of scrutiny from the NBA community. Although Harrison received very little support from every corner, he has remained committed to his stance that trading away Dončić was the right move for the franchise to contend for an NBA championship. Since the Mavs were unable to qualify for the playoffs and appear to have taken a significant step back compared to where…

On Friday, the All-NBA teams for the 2024-25 season were announced by the league. There were few, if any, surprises as far as who was voted onto the first team, as guards Donovan Mitchell and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, forwards Jayson Tatum and Giannis Antetokounmpo and center Nikola Jokic made the cut. Gilgeous-Alexander was named the regular-season MVP earlier this week, and Jokic, who had won the award in three of the previous four seasons, was the runner-up. The Los Angeles Lakers’ LeBron James was one of the forwards on the All-NBA Second Team. The other four players voted onto that squad…
