According to Carlos Passerini of Corriere della Sera, Mike Maignan is doing well and was discharged this morning from the hospital in Udine, where he spent the night under observation. The French goalkeeper, who suffered a head trauma last night during Udinese-Milan after a heavy collision with teammate Alex Jimenez, is already on his way back to Milan. It was nothing more than a big scare. The decision to keep him in the hospital was purely precautionary, since the head was involved, but last night’s medical tests had already come back negative.
Few expected such a commanding performance from Milan, even if the game was quite close prior to the opening strike. Indeed, Rafael Leao’s wonderful strike paved the way for a very nice evening, with Strahinja Pavlovic doubling the lead just three minutes later.
