After a quiet night with just three games, the NBA returns Monday evening with a packed lineup of 15 games, featuring all 30 teams in action, including a Boston Celtics vs Atlanta Hawks showdown. It’s a busy day across the league, with both teams looking to build on recent wins. The Celtics bounced back from their season’s first loss to the Indiana Pacers by winning two straight and aim to make it three in a row against the Hawks. Atlanta, meanwhile, snapped a three-game losing streak with a victory over the injury-depleted New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday night. Here’s a closer look…
The injury-riddled Pacers (2-4) wrap up a two-game road trip on Monday night in Dallas against Luka Doncic and the Mavericks (4-2). Indiana is coming off a 125-118 loss on Friday night in New Orleans that saw two more players go down with injuries. Starting wing Aaron Nesmith exited in the first half after spraining his left ankle and backup center Isaiah Jackson left after sustaining a non-contact injury to his right leg in the second half. The team announced on Saturday that an MRI confirmed that Jackson tore his right Achilles tendon and is scheduled to undergo surgery on Monday.…
Paul George, star of the Philadelphia 76ers, is expected to make his season debut this Monday against the Phoenix Suns, unless any inconvenience arises, as sources informed ESPN. PG has been out of action since suffering a bone contusion in his left knee on October 14. The injury occurred during a defensive play in the second quarter of a preseason game against the Atlanta Hawks. Tests confirmed no structural damage. At 34 years old, George participated in a 5-on-5 practice on Friday and trained with the team on Sunday in Phoenix, where the 76ers are preparing for their upcoming game.…
When looking at the San Francisco 49ers under the John Lynch-Kyle Shanahan regime, their mid-season moves have often been calculated risks that paid off in major ways. Here, we examine who delivered the best return on investment for the 49ers. Making the Case for my Top Three Christian McCaffrey: McCaffrey’s impact was immediate and profound. In his first full game, he became the first player since LaDainian Tomlinson in 2005 to throw, catch, and rush for a touchdown in…
Despite both being injured, this afternoon Matteo Gabbia and Alessandro Florenzi will also be on the plane that will take Milan to Madrid for tomorrow night’s Champions League match against Real. They want to be close to the Milan squad for this important European away game. Since Tammy Abraham isn’t at his best physical condition (he was on the bench against Monza with a brace on his shoulder, injured against Udinese), Paulo Fonseca will also call up Francesco Camarda for the match against Real Madrid. In fact, yesterday, Francesco Camarda played 85 minutes with Milan’s youth team in a 1-1…
New Chicago Sky head coach Tyler Marsh had spoken out about Angel Reese’s performance on the court before the Sky hired him. The Chicago Sky have found their next head coach. Just a few hours after Chicago Sun-Times reporter Annie Costabile reported that “The Sky are targeting [Las Vegas Aces assistant coach Tyler] Marsh — who has been praised for his player-development skills, specifically his work with three-time MVP A’ja Wilson — after losing out in the sweepstakes for White,” her words came to fruition, as the Sky have hired Marsh to lead their Sky franchse in 2025. Marsh was among the most respected…
The NBA is reopening a 2021 domestic disturbance incident involving now Los Angeles Lakers center Jaxson Hayes. TMZ released a video of the incident which prompted the new investigation from the league to take place. ESPN NBA insider Dave McMenamin reported the news on social media. The NBA released a comment regarding the decision to start up the investigation again. “As a result of the media report and video posted this morning, we are reopening our investigation,” NBA spokesman Mike Bass told ESPN in a statement. The video that TMZ posted is around five and a half minutes long and…
There were a couple of controversial decisions that took place during AC Milan’s win over Monza last night involving the referee Feliciani and his VAR team. Monza boss Alessandro Nesta made it clear that he was furious about the officiating during last night’s game, in particular because of an incident that happened early on and could have seen his side take the lead. The Biancorossi thought they had got themselves the lead in the eighth minute when a knockdown from Djuric was buried via a deflection from Dany Mota. However, the referee disallowed the goal for a foul in the…
AC Milan head coach Paulo Fonseca is expected to recall Rafael Leao to his starting side for Tuesday’s Champions League contest with the reigning European champions Real Madrid. Leao has found it difficult to make his mark for Milan during the 2024-25 campaign, only managing one goal in 12 appearances, and he was again on the bench against Monza in Serie A on Saturday. The Portugal international has started all three of Milan’s Champions League matches this season, though, and the 25-year-old is likely to be in the XI when the Italian giants head to the Spanish capital. Fonseca will…
Real Madrid return to action for the first time since losing the first El Clasico of the season when they take on AC Milan in the Champions League at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday. Carlo Ancelotti will demand a response from his side following the 4-0 hammering by Barcelona at the Bernabeu and Los Blancos should be fresh for this contest, after their fixture against Valencia at the weekend was postponed. AC Milan currently sit outside the top 24 places in the Champions League table, which would see them miss out on the chance to reach the next phase of…
