ARSENAL look to have beaten a string of clubs to the signing of Salford striker Will Wright. Liverpool had been favourites to sign the highly-rated striker, who has already scored four times for Salford in pre-season. But Arsenal hope they have clinched the transfer with an offer of £250,000 plus major add-ons. Liverpool offered £100,000 plus add-ons for Wright who has made just four first-team appearances for the League Two club. Manchester City and Burnley were also looking to sign the Preston-born striker. Since first being linked with Liverpool a month ago, Wright has hit the headlines. He scored four…
Arsenal and Liverpool are among candidates to sign Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman, according to Italian outlet Corriere della Sera (page 7) The Nigeria international had a brilliant 2024/25 campaign with the Serie A giants, scoring 20 goals and providing seven assists in all competitions. With two years left on his contract, he is ready to pursue a new challenge and reports suggest that he could be Premier League-bound this summer. As per Corriere della Sera, Arsenal and Liverpool are among his admirers. Napoli and Barcelona have also been credited with an interest in signing him. Atalanta are looking for at…
Arsenal have reached an agreement to sign Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres in a total package worth €73.5m (£63.75m), according to Spanish newspaper AS. The Gunners are now edging closer to finally getting the deal for the Sweden international over the line, as Gyokeres will travel to London on Friday to undergo his medical. The 26-year-old striker will sign a five-year contract with Arsenal and earn a net salary of around €8m (£7m) per year. Gyokeres is set to become Arsenal’s sixth signing of the summer transfer window – and a ‘major signing’ for Andrea Berta – alongside Kepa, Martin…
Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish has said the Eagles “promise” to help players progress their careers even if it means leaving the club – and suggested “change” is yet to come at Selhurst Park this summer. Despite ongoing uncertainty over their position in Europe next season, Palace have already added two new defensive troops to Oliver Glasner’s FA Cup-winning squad. But the club’s successes last season haven’t gone unnoticed, with several key players being linked with moves away from South London. The most notable of those is playmaker and England international Eberechi Eze, who is the subject of interest from…
Official pictures of Arsenal’s third kit for the 2025/26 campaign have leaked online, with the colour scheme reminiscent of a former kit from 2007-09. Twitter user Cris shared leaked images of the Arsenal third kit for 2025/26 on Tuesday, with the Gunners set to wear a white shirt with maroon and gold highlights. The colour scheme is almost identical to Arsenal’s alternate Nike kit from 2007 to 2009, which also had a white base with maroon and some gold on the sleeves, the collar, and the sponsorship logos. Unlike that shirt, this new one will sport a cannon logo instead…
The Arsenal ‘road is closed’ for Real Madrid star Rodrygo as Liverpool ‘do everything in their power’ to sign the Brazil international this summer. Arsenal have so far spent around £75m to sign Martin Zubimendi, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Christian Norgaard this summer, though the reportedly imminent arrivals of Viktor Gyokeres, Noni Madueke and Cristhian Mosquera will see their summer outlay soar to over £200m to rival Chelsea as the biggest spenders. The Gunners have also held talks with the representatives of Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze, who’s thought to be keen on the move to the Emirates, while Rodrygo is said…
Gabriel Martinelli has been linked with a big money move to Bayern Munich this summer. German champions Bayern Munich are believed to be weighing up a move for talented Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli as they continue to scour the market for attacking reinforcements. Leroy Sane recently left the Allianz Arena on a free transfer to join Galatasaray while efforts to land both Florian Wirtz and Nico Williams have been unsuccessful, with the former joining Liverpool and the latter committing his long-term future to Athletic Bilbao. The Bundesliga heavyweights want to boost their options on the left-wing. The Athletic reports Martinelli…
With Arsenal set to finally get their man in Viktor Gyokeres, Arsenal fans are starting to wonder just how he will perform. There was no perfect striker signing we could make, let’s make that clear. Even Alexander Isak, at the price he would cost (circa £150m) would have been a risk. His injuries and lack of historic ability to handle two games a week would make such a significant outlay potentially a mistake. But at about £56m + £14m in potential add ons – Gyokeres is the best deal we could’ve done. Long-term readers of the newsletter will know I…
Valencia centre-back Cristhian Mosquera confirmed the end of his near decade-long association with the club ahead of his widely reported move to Arsenal. The Spain U21 international has spent the past nine years rising through Valencia’s youth system to establish himself as a fixture of the first-team backline. Arsenal’s interest in the 21-year-old surprisingly emerged at the end of June and negotiations over a move have progressed swiftly—despite Valencia’s attempts to hold up the deal. Mosquera ultimately rebuffed the club’s offer of a new contract and was said to have sealed a move to Arsenal worth an initial €15 million…
Rodrygo is edging towards giving the thumbs up to a summer move to Arsenal, who must now decide whether to sign the Real Madrid star or Eberechi Eze. The Gunners have been embarking on a summer spending spree as having already signed Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad for €70m, Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea for €5.8m and Brentford midfielder Christian Norgaard for €12m, they are now closing two more deals. Noni Madueke will arrive from Chelsea for €60m, Cristhian Mosquera is undergoing his medical to join from Valencia for €20m, while Viktor Gyokeres is expected to complete his transfer from Sporting…
