Former University of Alabama football player Terrance Howard has died several days after being struck by a moving vehicle in North Carolina. Howard, a Texas native who recently transferred from UA to North Carolina Central University, was in the process of moving his belongings from Tuscaloosa to Durham. According to Houston-based outlet KPRC-TV, Howard was involved in a minor car accident during a storm outside of Salisbury, N.C. He got out of his car to check on the well-being of the other driver, at which point he was critically injured by a third driver. Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer commented on…
Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has insisted that Nigeria international Victor Osimhen has refused to reduce his salary amid interest from Chelsea. Romano disclosed this in a tweet on his X account on Monday evening. According to him, Chelsea are still exploring options with Napoli to sign Osimhen this summer. He added that Napoli also want Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku, as Osimhen is expected to leave the Serie A club. “No changes so far on Victor Osimhen deal for Chelsea,” Romano tweeted. “Chelsea explore talks with Napoli; Napoli want Lukaku; Osimhen will NOT reduce his salary + he’s not open to…
The Dallas Mavericks had one of their best seasons ever this past year. The team advanced to the Western Conference Finals for the second time in three years. It was their third time advancing to the NBA Finals in franchise history. Some highlights included the Mavs bringing in new faces like Daniel Gafford and P.J. Washington, and making the playoffs again. One big achievement though was defeating the No.1 seed Oklahoma City Thunder in six games. This was a plus for Mavs fans, as some experts had the team making the Play-In Tournament or missing the playoffs altogether. However, the Dallas-Oklahoma City…
Lewis Hamilton has been spotted basking in the action of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, cheering on his ‘brother’. With Formula 1 currently in its summer break, drivers have been returning to their everyday lives, with Hamilton once again engaged in a number of extravagant activities, including being seen with American rap sensation Snoop Dog. Hamilton and Snoop Dog have been huge features at the Olympics, being spotted at a number of events throughout the two-week sporting festival. A seven-time F1 world champion, Hamilton has even recently called for racing to become an Olympic sport, calling for drivers to be given equal…
If you are one of many Pittsburgh Steelers fans who have been banging the table for Brandon Aiyuk, you may finally get your wish. Trade talks are heating up, and Pittsburgh is reportedly at the forefront for the talented 49ers receiver. On August 5, Adam Schefter joined The Pat McAfee Show to discuss the possibility of an Aiyuk trade. Later that day, multiple reputable sources posted on social media that a trade was in the works. I spoke to a source close to the situation who claims the 49ers had trade offers from both the Patriots and Browns, but Aiyuk’s party told the…
To many it was not a surprise that Caitlin Clark was not selected to be in the Olympic roster for Team USA Womens Basketball. People can say that it has been a real factor as they have been rolling so far with a spot secured in the next round before they face another team has been balling out, them being Germany. Even with that said, there has been some criticism on what team officials should have done before the announcement of the players selected was made. ESPN’s First Stake Stephen A. Smith has been very vocal on this matter and has made…
AC Milan are set to undergo changes in the midfield department before the summer transfer window ends and that includes a couple of sales, according to a report. Looking at the potential signings, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports how Milan are insisting on signing a defensive midfielder and are adamant that they will only sign Youssouf Fofana on the right terms, which means alternatives are being looked into. A couple of exits could help fund at least one move, and Ismael Bennacer is wanted in Saudi Arabia. Milan’s stance is clear: if a Saudi Pro League club come along and make a big…
Happy Monday, Camden Chatters! The weekend turned out all right after all, wouldn’t you say? After dropping the first two games of their series with the Guardians, the Orioles stormed back to take the final two and split the series. I’d sure rather see a series win, but after the way it started, a series split against the AL’s #1 team isn’t bad at all. Corbin Burnes had a rare bad day in his start yesterday but the offense picked him up in a big way. They smashed 15 hits, including multi-hit days from Gunnar Henderson, Jackson Holliday, Adley Rutschman,…
Dallas Mavericks General Manager Nico Harrison has done a tremendous job overhauling the roster to become a contending team. What was once Luka Doncic and everybody else is now a quality team that can go toe-to-toe with the best. Harrison is never satisfied with his work, constantly making changes around the fringes if he thinks it will help the team. In this offseason alone, he’s turned Tim Hardaway Jr., Josh Green, and Derrick Jones Jr. into Klay Thompson, Quentin Grimes, Naji Marshall, and Spencer Dinwiddie. If Harrison decides to make more moves this season, these three players are most likely to be on the trade block. A.J. Lawson will not be mentioned…
Coming out of the trade deadline, the Baltimore Orioles have been able to see their two new starting pitcher acquisitions in action. Being active to bring in different players throughout their roster has caused there to be a lot of roster moves, especially following their promotions of Jackson Holliday and Coby Mayo. One move that went a bit under the radar at the time was Cole Irvin getting designated for assignment on July 30. The veteran was brought in ahead of the 2023 season following a trade with the Oakland Athletics. After only working as a starter with the A’s, the Orioles used him both in…
