Breaking news: AC Milan ready to sell Theo Hernandez for €35 million

AC Milan will be open to parting ways with 27-year-old French international Theo Hernandez for around €35 million amid his links with Manchester City and Real Madrid.

According to a report by TEAMtalk, Theo Hernandez will likely leave AC Milan in the summer transfer window. Manchester City and Real Madrid are keen on signing the 27-year-old left-back in the summer transfer window. Meanwhile, the player will not cost a bomb, with the Serie A giants demanding around €35 million to part ways with him.

Theo Hernandez and resurgence at AC Milan

Theo Hernandez has been one of the best players in Serie A since joining AC Milan from Real Madrid in July 2019. The Frenchman has gone from strength to strength in the last half a dozen years after struggling to establish a foothold in the first-team squad at the Spanish club.

The 27-year-old has turned out nearly 250 times thus far for AC Milan while chipping in with 33 goals and 44 assists. Meanwhile, Hernandez’s long-term future at the Serie A club is uncertain after entering the final 18 months of his contract with the Rossoneri.

The French full-back’s situation has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs across Europe. Manchester City and Real Madrid are among the prospective suitors vying for the AC Milan mainstay’s signature heading into the summer transfer window. Meanwhile, the Serie A giants are ready to sell Hernandez for around €35 million.

Manchester City’s interest in Theo Hernandez is understandable. The Premier League champions are scouring the market for a left-back heading into the summer transfer window. Pep Guardiola does not have a recognised left-back in his squad and has utilised Josko Gvardiol and Nathan Ake in the position. So, Hernandez has emerged as a viable target for Manchester City.

As for Real Madrid, Ferland Mendy has blown hot and cold this season, while Fran Garcia has not earned Carlo Ancelotti’s faith enough to become the undisputed first-choice left-back. So, the 27-year-old Frenchman is an option worth considering for Real Madrid.

Manchester City and Real Madrid have the funds to afford a deal worth €35 million to sign the French international in the summer transfer window. However, they might face stiff competition from other bigwigs, with recent reports linking the AC Milan full-back with Manchester United.
