Breaking news: Why Sarri could be the perfect manager to lead Milan next season

Ever since his time at Empoli, Sarri has been linked with Milan on and off, even if the rumours haven’t always been super concrete. As we were among the first to report in the middle of the 2023-24 season, he was an option to replace Stefano Pioli following talks with his agent.

Now, with Milan looking to part ways with Sergio Conceicao, Sarri has name has been brought up again but the links are seemingly more concrete than ever. Having tested the foreign route through Paulo Fonseca and Conceicao, the management is now keen on a proven Italian coach.

This was reported by Gazzetta dello Sport earlier today, explaining how out of all of the Italian targets, Sarri is the easiest one to get and maybe even the best, with the exception of Antonio Conte. At the age of 66, the manager is also keen on relaunching his career at the very top, which would make Milan a perfect destination.

Indeed, as added by Calciomercato.com, Milan are in a similar position as they need to revive their project, going back to the basics to lay a foundation. Few managers are as good as Sarri when it comes to putting a structure in place, and maintaining it over a long period of time.

Furthermore, his ability to work with young players shouldn’t be underestimated as the Rossoneri’s technical director, Geoffrey Moncada, is very passionate about the youth project.
