AC Milan are looking at the centre-back market, with a ‘dream’ target established and two potential alternatives in mind.
There has been talk of the possibility of a return to Germany for Malick Thiaw in the past few weeks, to replace Jonathan Tah who moved to Bayern Munich on a free transfer. However, the fact that they are close to landing another target makes the move a lot more unlikely.
It has also been reported that Massimiliano Allegri likes him and would like to try to relaunch him at the start of his second Rossoneri spell. That does not rule out another exit in the department though, such as Fikayo Tomori.
According to Corriere dello Sport (via MilanPress), Milan’s dream to strengthen the rearguard remains Giovanni Leoni of Parma, but the operation will not be easy due to the cost of his transfer fee and the strong competition.
Thus, Igli Tare and the rest of the management have been forced to look into alternative targets and – as has been a common theme in recent years – they have turned to fringe players at some top clubs.
The other names on Tare’s list are Andreas Christensen, whose contract expires in 2026 and will leave Barcelona to find more space, and Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior, who has already been sought in the past when he was at Spezia.
