Gbs: Four Englishmen heading for AC Milan exit…see more

There could be a mass English exodus from AC Milan this summer with four players expected to leave before next season.

Milan are expected to make some big changes in the summer with the appointment of a new sporting director and head coach. Then, they will oversee what could end up being a revolution with regards to the squad, including some departures.

Report that first to leave will be the two who arrived last: Tammy Abraham and Kyle Walker. On the latter in particular, the Rossoneri have already decided not to use their €5m option to buy.

Thus, at the end of this season he will return to Manchester City, where he arrived from on loan in January. In any case, the English full-back – who will turn 35 on May 28 – will not remain under the orders of Pep Guardiola, who is already working to buy a new player in his same role.

The same goes for Abraham, who is destined to leave Milan at the end of this season, returning to Roma at the end of his loan. He will only be passing through too, with a Premier League move on his mind, even if only West Ham have come forward.

It will take longer for the possible farewells of two other former Chelsea players: Fikayo Tomori and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, both on the market but under contract until June 2027 with significant salaries.

All four English players at Milan are in fact in the top 11 of the Rossoneri salaries: Abraham €4.5m net per year, Walker and Loftus-Cheek €4m and Tomori €3.5m. In total the quartet get €16m net and €23m gross per season, which will be saved and presumably reinvested.
