Alexis Saelemaekers has officially concluded his loan at Roma and is set for a return to Milan.

Despite Roma pushing for his permanent signing, Saelemaekers is no longer expected to continue playing for the capital club.

As announced by the player himself on Instagram, his loan is over.

“What a thrill to relive all these moments. I started this year with so many goals in mind, but I never imagined I would experience so many emotions.”

“At the beginning, unfortunately, the injury kept me away from the pitch and from you… but my heart was always there, next to the team.”

“I worked hard to return, and when I did, I was more motivated than ever. We dreamed together. We fought, suffered, rejoiced. And I want to thank my teammates, the club… and above all you fans for the affection, warmth and support you have given me. Thank you Roma.”

“It was an incredible, unforgettable experience. And wherever I go, I will take a piece of you with me. Daje, I love you.”

Over the course of the season he spent at Roma, Saelemaekers made 32 appearances between the league, Europa League and Coppa Italia, totaling 1885 minutes, 7 goals and 7 assists.
