“I Was Crying”: Arsenal Target Eberechi Eze Reveals “Dream” Transfer Move Amid £68m Talks…see more

Arsenal transfer target Eberechi Eze has revealed his dream transfer move amid interest from fellow Premier League clubs.

The Gunners want to bring in someone who can challenge Gabriel Martinelli on the left-wing, and Eze has emerged as one of their top targets. The Crystal Palace attacker is expected to command a transfer fee of £60m plus £8m in add-ons.

Arsenal are the frontrunners to land the England international, but he has also previously been linked to Tottenham, Manchester United and Liverpool. Eze could come in alongside Noni Madueke, who has agreed a deal with the Gunners to be Bukayo Saka’s backup on the right wing.

Amid all the transfer interest in Eze, the 26-year-old has revealed where his “dream” transfer would be, and that his love for one club stems back to when he was 13.

The 26-year-old was in Arsenal’s academy as a youngster, but he was released at the age of 13 and then ended up moving to Fulham. After that, he had spells in the academies of Reading, Millwall, and then QPR, where he broke out as a professional.

He revealed in an interview with New Balance, which was posted on TikTok by @insidearsenalfc that he cried after Arsenal released him, and that it was always his dream to play for the Gunners.

Eze said: “Arsenal was probably the hardest. My dream was to play for them, so, hearing them say no at 13, that was tough. I remember training after I got released, and I couldn’t focus, I was crying whilst I was training.

“But, I think that helped me so much in all the other rejections, because if I can get through Arsenal releasing me, I can get through any other club releasing me. My mindset was, okay, it’s not going to be Arsenal, I’ve just got to find somewhere else.”

Based on the fact that it was his dream as a kid to play for the Gunners, Eze will likely jump at the chance to play for his boyhood club, and Arsenal fans know that he would prove to be an excellent addition for Mikel Arteta‘s side.
