The Boston Celtics found their franchise cornerstone when they selected a 19-year-old Jayson Tatum out of Duke with the third overall pick in the 2017 NBA draft. Since then, Tatum has been instrumental in the team’s success, leading Boston to five Eastern Conference Finals appearances, two NBA Finals trips, and ultimately capturing an NBA Championship last season.
Individually, Tatum has established himself as one of the league’s elite players, boasting career averages of 23.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.8 assists. A six-time All-Star and three-time All-NBA First Team selection, Tatum has built an impressive résumé at just 27 years old.
