AC Milan have announced their new partnership with Bitpanda, previously just the official crypto partner, which entails a back-of-the-shirt sponsorship. In fact, the logo will make its debut in the derby against Inter tonight.

In August last year, just before the start of the season, Milan announced Bitpanda as their new official crypto trading partner. Since then, the parties have been on very good terms and as revealed by Il Sole 24 Ore this morning, they thus agreed to upgrade the partnership.

In an official announcement this afternoon, Milan announced that the partnership has been expanded to also include a back-of-the-shirt sponsorship. Bitpanda will thus have its logo present on the shirt during Serie A games, while the Fondazione Milan logo will remain for Champions League games.

“AC Milan is delighted to announce a significant expansion of its partnership with Bitpanda, Europe’s leading online trading platform. Starting from today, Bitpanda will serve as the new Back-of-Shirt sponsor for the men’s First Team, joining AC Milan’s family of Principal Partners.

“The visibility on the back of the jerseys of the men’s First Team will start in the highly anticipated Derby against Inter, which will be played later today at the San Siro Stadium.

“The partnership between AC Milan and Bitpanda, which began in the summer of 2024 when the company became the Rossoneri’s Premium Partner and Official Crypto Trading Partner, continues to grow as Bitpanda strengthens its presence in the Italian and international markets. By becoming the Back-of-Shirt sponsor and a Principal Partner of AC Milan, the two brands underscore their shared commitment to innovation and excellence.

“Maikel Oettle, Chief Commercial Officer of AC Milan, commented: ‘We are thrilled to further strengthen our partnership with Bitpanda and welcome them onto our iconic red and black jersey as our new Back-of-Shirt sponsor. The expansion of our partnership reflects our shared values of innovation and excellence, as well as our mutual ambition to create meaningful experiences for our global fanbase, which spans over 500 million fans worldwide. We are proud to support Bitpanda in their growth journey and look forward to achieving even greater success together, both on and off the pitch.’

“Eric Demuth, Co-Founder and CEO of Bitpanda, added: ‘The first six months of our partnership with AC Milan have been marked by great collaboration and mutual commitment. It quickly became clear that we wanted to take it even further – and now, the timing couldn’t be better. Starting with the Derby, we will be featured as the Back-of-Shirt sponsor, taking our partnership to the next level. Excited for what is ahead. Forza

“Headquartered in Vienna, Bitpanda is Europe’s leading crypto trading platform and has been expanding its presence in international sports partnerships, collaborating with other premium football clubs and organisations. This new milestone with AC Milan marks a significant step in Bitpanda’s global strategy, further solidifying its position as a key player in the world of sports sponsorship,” the press release read.
