Report: Milan ‘reached an agreement’ with Sporting for Harder…see more

This evening, shortly after reports of a first bid being made, AC Milan have reportedly agreed a fee with Sporting for Conrad Harder.

There have been several strikers linked to Milan this summer, and after yesterday’s showing, Milan need to move quickly to get in a reinforcement. After all, the Rossoneri lacked a presence to lead the line at San Siro.

Victor Boniface was seemingly going to be the one to join, but instead, he failed his medical due to issues with his knee. So, the attention turned elsewhere, and a bid was placed for Conrad Harder this afternoon, according to reports.

Deal close?

In fact, the striker’s agent was reportedly at Casa Milan this afternoon, and a bid of around €23 million was sent a few hours later. Nevertheless, things have moved very quickly, it seems.

According to Record (via Milan Posts), a Portuguese outlet, Sporting have ‘reached an agreement’ with the Rossoneri for the Dane’s transfer already. Previous reports have suggested that a bid of €28m would be required, and after a bid of €24m and €3m in bonuses, the parties have ‘entered the final stages’.

Now, the player’s terms will need to be arranged with the Diavolo, and there will be a clause inserted for a future resale.

Gazzetta dello Sport also state that things are ‘very close’ with an offer worth approximately €25m submitted. In the past few days, an agreement has been in place, effectively, but today things have seemed to accelerate.

However, the player has not yet approved the move, due to negotiations with Rennes in recent days. There should not be any issues if he wants to join, though, with the striker only likely to request €1.5m per season, which is easily affordable.
