Seven changes have been made to the Liverpool team against Nottingham Forest due to Luis Díaz’s decision.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, Luis Díaz has been left out of the squad. Worrying reports emerged overnight from Colombia that the winger’s parents had been kidnapped — Díaz’s mother has since been rescued, but his father remains missing.
In his place, Diogo Jota retains his spot on the left, while Darwin Núñez remains up front from Thursday’s win. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ryan Gravenberch also keep their places from the Europa League tie.
There are no surprise among the rest of the side, with Alisson, Virgil van Dijk, Kostas Tsimikas, Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai and Mohamed Salah returning. Ibrahima Konaté has been given the nod to partner Van Dijk in defense.
